Jan. 19 - Isaiah Thomas (DEN)

News that Isaiah Thomas could suit up for the Nuggets prior to the All-Star Break bodes well for Denver but let's not overreact from a fantasy perspective. The best case scenario for Thomas in Denver is to establish himself as a high-octane scoring option off the bench. It's been two years since the 30-year-old former MVP candidate had a serious role, so hope for the occasional Lou Williams-type stat line eventually but brace for some growing pains along the way.Isaiah Thomas profile page

Jan. 19 - DeMarcus Cousins (GSW)

DeMarcus Cousins finally made his debut with the Warriors over halfway through the 2018-19 campaign. Expect Golden State to bring the big man along slowly, with little reason to risk re-injuring the perennial All-Star fresh off of an Achilles tear. Cousins' playing style should allow him to continue to fill the stat sheet in limited action, so invest in the 28-year-old so long as you're willing to tolerate minute limits and the occasional DNP-CD.DeMarcus Cousins profile page

Jan. 19 - Kenneth Faried (BKL)

Reports that the Nets plan on buying out Kenneth Faried's contract, paving the way for him to sign with Houston as a Clint Capela replacement, have fantasy owners in a frenzy. The forward has always produced statistically but has seen his actual role decrease steadily since 2015-16. Take a flyer on the 29-year-old when he officially signs with the Rockets but don't be surprised if they ease him into their rotation slowly.Kenneth Faried profile page

Jan. 18 - Lonzo Ball (LAL)

There's no denying that the addition of LeBron James put a damper on the trajectory of Lonzo Ball and several of his intriguing, young Lakers teammates. Despite the growing pains early in 2018-19, however, evidence continues to mount that Ball can be a formidable NBA starter despite his oft-criticized shooting stroke (and that free-throw percentage, ugh). Hold onto him for his long-term value in dynasty leagues but be patient with him in redrafts, the Lakers are heavily invested in keeping the ball in James' possession.Lonzo Ball profile page

Jan. 18 - JaVale McGee (LAL)

JaVale McGee is in the mist of his most relevant fantasy season in seven years. That should continue through the final stretch of 2018-19, especially as the Lakers turn to their ragtag group of veterans to solidify their standing in the Western Conference playoff picture. McGee isn't exactly carrying the franchise on his shoulders but he's doing a fine job of making the most of the opportunities created by LeBron James and the rest of his teammates.JaVale McGee profile page
