Recent Player Analysis

12/16 - James Johnson

Johnson has the potential to produce stats across the board and yield some pretty impressive fantasy lines but his success has always hinged on his role and this year, the 30-year-old veteran's role seems to be to provide intangible benefits for a committee-based team trying to sneak into the postseason. He holds value in deep leagues because he's a big part of Miami's rotation but that high ceiling, for the time being at least, appears to be gone. (@AustinKent)James Johnson profile page

12/16 - Boban Marjanovic

Marjanovic can fill the stat sheet with the best of them but isn't practically deployable enough to earn consistent minutes. He has upside in really shallow leagues where you'd never truly have to rely on his minutes but even in that case you would still have to spend a roster spot on somebody who racks up DNP-CDs. 12/16 - Tomas Satoransky

Satoransky saw an uptick in usage with John Wall on the sidelines and showed off some intriguing potential. The 26-year-old could be worth a look in really deep leagues but may be too inconsistent for most fantasy owners to stomach. (@AustinKent)Tomas Satoransky profile page

12/16 - David West

West, now in his second year with Golden State, has settled into life with the Warriors and is putting forth one of the most efficient seasons of his career. So long as the 37-year-old is getting his 15-20 minutes per game, he's worth a look in many formats. (@AustinKent)David West profile page

12/16 - Nik Stauskas

Stauskas, a 2014 lottery pick, hasn't impressed in either of his two stops in the NBA so it's hard to imagine that he'll become a revelation in Brooklyn. That said, plenty of guards have thrived on the Nets of late and this could serve as a better fresh start than his arrival in Philadelphia did. (@AustinKent)Nik Stauskas profile page
