Houston
Los Angeles

[LOS ANGELES] — The Los Angeles Clippers played host to the Houston Rockets last night but didn't exactly treat their visitors with any semblence of dignity or respect. Not only did the Clips manhandle their beleagured opponents, they embarassed them to the tune of 125-96. The win bumps Los Angeles's record up to 50-31 on the season, while the loss drags Houston's down to 54-27. More than just a victory, the performance could serve as a boost for the Clippers. Having scored early and often against their opponents this time out, the club will look to capitalize on their momentum heading into their next contest.

On this night it was Chris Paul leading the show from a statistical perspective. His 19 points, 5 rebounds, 9 assists, 0 blocks and 4 steals in 29 minutes topped all players in terms of general production. Ask anybody, however - Paul included - and the most important part is that the Clippers walked away with the W. Each win adds up over the course of the season with the end goal being far more satisfying than a Tweetable stat line.

Though not quite able to steal the show, Montrezl Harrell did a fine job leading his ultimately unsuccessful Rockets. Harrell's 15 points, 13 rebounds and 0 assists were one bright spot for the team that spun out in the matchup.

Beyond any individual contributions, one of the major reasons why it was the Clippers walking away victorious was Los Angeles's ability to limit Houston's offensive output. By holding the Rockets to less than they usually produce the Clippers made their life considerably easier.

Up next for the reeling Clips will be a date with the Sacramento Kings while the visiting Rockets will look to bounce back in a matchup with the Minnesota Timberwolves.
