[UTAH] — The Utah Jazz played host to the Detroit Pistons last night but didn't exactly treat their visitors with any semblence of dignity or respect. Not only did the Jazz manhandle their beleagured opponents, they embarassed them to the tune of 110-77. The win bumps Utah's record up to 25-16 on the season, while the loss drags Detroit's down to 18-24. More than just a victory, the performance could serve as a boost for the Jazz. Having scored early and often against their opponents this time out, the club will look to capitalize on their momentum heading into their next contest.

While there were no historic individual performances to speak of, Andre Drummond's 9 points, 19 rebounds, 1 assists, 0 blocks and 1 steals in 33 minutes will serve fantasy owners well. Unfortunately for Drummond, what really matters - the result on the scoreboard - still leans in favor of the Jazz. Perhaps continued performances like this one in the near future will get Detroit back in the win column before too long.

At the helm for the Jazz in the victory was Rodney Hood and while he may not have posted a more attractive statline than Drummond, he did help his club walk away with the victory. Hood posted 27 points, 4 rebounds and 2 assists in the win.

From a personal standpoint, Rodney Hood made his presence felt from beyond the arc, toying with defenders all night long and connecting on an impressive 7 bombs. Putting a stop to any NBA calibre talent is no easy task, but even more so when they're red-hot from beyond three-point range.

Beyond any individual contributions, one of the major reasons why it was the Jazz walking away victorious was Utah's ability to limit Detroit's offensive output. By holding the Pistons to less than they usually produce the Jazz made their life considerably easier.

Up next for the reeling Jazz will be a date with the while the visiting Pistons will look to bounce back in a matchup with the .
