[DENVER] — The Denver Nuggets played host to the Indiana Pacers last night but didn't exactly treat their visitors with any semblence of dignity or respect. Not only did the Nuggs manhandle their beleagured opponents, they embarassed them to the tune of 140-112. The win bumps Denver's record up to 15-23 on the season, while the loss drags Indiana's down to 20-19. More than just a victory, the performance could serve as a boost for the Nuggets. Having scored early and often against their opponents this time out, the club will look to capitalize on their momentum heading into their next contest.

On this night it was Nikola Jokic leading the show from a statistical perspective. His 22 points, 10 rebounds, 7 assists, 1 blocks and 1 steals in 30 minutes topped all players in terms of general production. Ask anybody, however - Jokic included - and the most important part is that the Nuggets walked away with the W. Each win adds up over the course of the season with the end goal being far more satisfying than a Tweetable stat line.

Joining Jokic in the winning effort was Wilson Chandler. Had it not been for Chandler rounding out the Nuggs's attack with 21 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists of his own, we may have been looking at a different outcome.

From a personal standpoint, C.J. Miles made his presence felt from beyond the arc, toying with defenders all night long and connecting on an impressive 6 bombs. Putting a stop to any NBA calibre talent is no easy task, but even more so when they're red-hot from beyond three-point range.

Perhaps just as significant if not more so than any individual performance, was Denver's ability to take the Pacers out of their game. A stellar defensive performance by the Nuggets helped insure the victory from the moment the two teams set foot on the court. Should the club continue to excel on both sides of the ball, the rest of the league better start planning accordingly.

Up next for the reeling Nuggs will be a date with the Orlando Magic while the visiting Pacers will look to bounce back in a matchup with the New Orleans Pelicans.
