Houston
Minnesota

[MINNESOTA] — The Minnesota Timberwolves played host to the Houston Rockets last night and the homeside took care of business. A 119-105 win has the Wolves and their fans feeling good about themselves heading forward. The win bumps Minnesota's record up to 13-26 on the season, while the loss drags Houston's down to 31-10. More than just a victory, the performance could serve as a boost for the Timberwolves. Having scored early and often against their opponents this time out, the club will look to capitalize on their momentum heading into their next contest.

An impressive performance from James Harden led all players in the contest and his 33 points, 6 rebounds, 12 assists, 2 blocks and 1 steals in 38 minutes will make many-a-fantasy owner proud. Unfortunately for Harden, what really matters - the result on the scoreboard - still leans in favor of the Timberwolves. Perhaps continued performances like this one in the near future will get Houston back in the win column before too long.

At the helm for the Timberwolves in the victory was Karl-Anthony Towns and while he may not have posted a more attractive statline than Harden, he did help his club walk away with the victory. Towns posted 23 points, 18 rebounds and 5 assists in the win.

Beyond any individual contributions, one of the major reasons why it was the Timberwolves walking away victorious was Minnesota's ability to limit Houston's offensive output. By holding the Rockets to less than they usually produce the Timberwolves made their life considerably easier.

Up next for the reeling Wolves will be a date with the while the visiting Rockets will look to bounce back in a matchup with the Brooklyn Nets.
