Los Angeles
Washington

[WASHINGTON] — The Washington Wizards played host to the Los Angeles Clippers last night and the Wiz did everything that was asked of them, walking away with the 117-110 victory. The win bumps Washington's record up to 12-14 on the season, while the loss drags Los Angeles's down to 20-8. More than just a victory, the performance could serve as a boost for the Wizards. Having scored early and often against their opponents this time out, the club will look to capitalize on their momentum heading into their next contest.

On this night it was Bradley Beal leading the show from a statistical perspective. His 41 points, 3 rebounds, 3 assists, 0 blocks and 1 steals in 38 minutes topped all players in terms of general production. Ask anybody, however - Beal included - and the most important part is that the Wizards walked away with the W. Each win adds up over the course of the season with the end goal being far more satisfying than a Tweetable stat line.

Joining Beal in the winning effort was Markieff Morris. Had it not been for Morris rounding out the Wiz's attack with 23 points, 9 rebounds and 3 assists of his own, we may have been looking at a different outcome.

From a personal standpoint, Bradley Beal made his presence felt from beyond the arc, toying with defenders all night long and connecting on an impressive 6 bombs. Putting a stop to any NBA calibre talent is no easy task, but even more so when they're red-hot from beyond three-point range.

Beyond any individual contributions, one of the major reasons why it was the Wizards walking away victorious was Washington's ability to limit Los Angeles's offensive output. By holding the Clips to less than they usually produce the Wizards made their life considerably easier.

Up next for the reeling Wiz will be a date with the Indiana Pacers while the visiting Clippers will look to bounce back in a matchup with the Denver Nuggets.
