Milwaukee
New Orleans

[NEW ORLEANS] — The New Orleans Pelicans played host to the Milwaukee Bucks last night and the Pellies did everything that was asked of them, walking away with the 112-106 victory. The win bumps New Orleans's record up to 1-8 on the season, while the loss drags Milwaukee's down to 4-4. More than just a victory, the performance could serve as a boost for the Pelicans. Having scored early and often against their opponents this time out, the club will look to capitalize on their momentum heading into their next contest.

An impressive performance from Anthony Davis led all players in the contest and his 32 points, 8 rebounds, 2 assists, 4 blocks and 2 steals in 41 minutes will make many-a-fantasy owner proud. Ask anybody, however - Davis included - and the most important part is that the Pelicans walked away with the W. Each win adds up over the course of the season with the end goal being far more satisfying than a Tweetable stat line.

Though not quite able to steal the show, Jabari Parker did a fine job leading his ultimately unsuccessful Bucks. Parker's 33 points, 9 rebounds and 1 assists were one bright spot for the team that spun out in the matchup.

Beyond any individual contributions, one of the major reasons why it was the Pelicans walking away victorious was New Orleans's ability to limit Milwaukee's offensive output. By holding the Bucks to less than they usually produce the Pelicans made their life considerably easier.

Up next for the reeling Pellies will be a date with the Phoenix Suns while the visiting Bucks will look to bounce back in a matchup with the Indiana Pacers.
